This time I have a question completely unrelated to Minecraft, but I'm sure you can help me:)  What books do you recommend for a 10 years old English learner?
He already read in original all Roald Dahl books for kids and complete Harry Potter & Diary of a Wimpy Kid collections. I just bought him The Chronicles of Narnia complete collection (for less than 1$ on Google Play Books) but I'm looking for other ideas too.

The power of minecraft and skyping!

The power of minecraft and skyping! So awesome seeing Emanuel trying out his Portuguese with two kids from our school through skype. In order to play minigames in Minecraft with them he had to speak in Portuguese, I told him. That was the first time I heard him interact naturally with someone in Portuguese. Being highly motivated to communicate with someone and engaging in authentic and meaningful task do make the difference :) Finally discovered what makes him use Portuguese ;) I'm so happy!

I put together Scratch, Scriptcraft and Minecraft for the Scratch Day event that I will host tomorrow for a few kids.

Has any of you guys tried programming in Minecraft with Scratch? I had a go at it, but it didn't work really (technical issues).  Has anyone had more luck?
