Sorry for the delay but here's the video from where I met +Dakota Redtone on the #evomc17 server a few days back and he showed me how to neutralize the skele spawner Barbara Stevens and I had discovered under David Dodgson's Winterhouse. Here you can see me raid the skele's chests for goodies (during which Dakota manages to shoot me in a friendly fire incident), and afterwards we go on walkabout to another interesting build on the tiaga not too far from the spawn point. If you want your badge just document whatever you have accomplished there. This is important because this link contains the evidence given for awarding the badge, which anyone will be able to see if they want to know what you did to earn the badge.

Hi everyone, I have just shared the link to the almost two-hour closing event for EVO2017, which just ended a few minutes ago. I got a recording and am sharing it here, https://youtu.be/A-ARWEqUK9g. This doesn't mean that EVOMC17 is over. I still have to make the badge for the course, and award them to anyone who fills in the form with evidence of accomplishements here. Glodrail is still building his railroad and needs our help. Rose has numerous projects going on and we haven't properly visited Enfield Village. So EVOMC17 still has 10 months to run before it segues into EVOMC18 :-)

Here's what it's about: #EVOMC17 is now in its third iteration of seeking to introduce teachers to Big G Gamification by experiencing the concept through interaction with teaching peers in the “little g” game of #Minecraft. The presentation explains how the community has sustained itself for three years as a space where experienced players and noobs alike can contribute to each other’s appreciation of Minecraft as a “toy” for enabling learning over a wide range of concepts. This presentation will focus on the evolution of the #EVOsessions Minecraft MOOC community from 2015 through the present, how it has indeed become a community, who it has attracted from other networks, and the interesting move from starting in creative and then morphing to survival (2015 and 2016, to the running of two parallel worlds as we do today (2017).

One small caveat, I've been experiencing internet timeouts lately. This sometimes pops me out of the game. I'm usually able to get right back, but I hope it won't impact the streaming. Hi everyone, thanks to Rose Bard and Linda Gielen, who help me get around and stay alive each week, and Mircea Patrascu who makes the quests (modeling how a master can manage class activities in #Minecraft ) I'm getting better at the game, or more correctly, the toy, as Jeff Kuhn points out. But this evening I punched through my latest personal learning goal. I managed to figure out how to stream our #evomc17  events live, capturing virtual play along with voice.

Our next playdate will be livestreamed. I'll set the event in YouTube/Live, and invite you join us in world or just follow what we're up to in real time.

When watching YouTube videos, be sure and use the settings gear to play back in highest resolution. The default setting may be grainy.
