Would you all still like me to host a get-together on the VSTE Minecraft server this Monday, February 5, at 8 pm EST?

Would you all still like me to host a get-together on the VSTE Minecraft server this Monday, February 5, at 8 pm EST? I got lost reading all of these posts and comments, and I can't remember how to access the signup sheet for get-togethers (or even what they're called, lol)

I'm taking a page from Dakotah's book and adapting my post from last year:

I'm a middle school librarian on the East Coast of the US. I have an after-school Games Club which is mostly playing Minecraft. We have a MinecraftEdu server that I run in school on my laptop during club meetings. I have also taught several week-long courses for our students in Minecraft, including Media Literacy using Knowclue Kidd 's ideas, and another on Community Building. Those are both available in Canvas. I love playing Minecraft myself, and have played on one server with adult friends and another server with teens, run by teachers.

I haven't spent much time in Minecraft this past year, though. I've spent my virtual world hours mostly in Second Life, doing publicity and developing my inworld business making and selling professional clothing (http://bethghostraven.com). I did just win L$500 Lindens, however, in the Minecraft blizzard-proof building contest that the VSTE Virtual Environments PLN held this past Monday (https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/106561495889390694090).

This is my 3rd time in the EVO Minecraft MOOC, and my 1st time as a moderator. I'm looking forward to seeing you all inworld!

Hi everyone, I set up the DOODLE poll for Week 2 Jan 16-22 here

Hi everyone, I set up the DOODLE poll for Week 2 Jan 16-22 here

Find it later under "Arrange meetings in Minecraft"

I'd like to start streaming and recording some of our meetups, but that goes best with sound. When there's sound, people playing in silent mode can hear the others talk and still interact with everyone in text, so it's value added, nothing detracted. Try and get Discord working. Here's how

Wow, is it that time already?

Wow, is it that time already??!? I'm joining up again, as it was a lot of fun last year. I'm a middle school librarian (ages 11-14) on the East coast of the US. I've used Minecraft for three 1-week courses with our students.

Dr. Valerie Hill and I gave a webinar last night for AASL on "Minecraft and Immersive Learning Environments for School Librarians." The slide show is available here:

I'm getting a little discouraged.

I'm getting a little discouraged. I love playing in survival mode, but the one time I was able to spend enough time in this world to get the resources I need to make maps and armor, I died and lost it all. I'm used to coming back from that, but the backup maps that I've made haven't been working. When I take a map off the wall to make a copy, the map disappears. It looked like it went into my inventory, but it wasn't there, and didn't show up anywhere around. (Sometimes a map will appear in a nearby room when it's taken off a wall.)

I've lost the Week 1 assignments in the shuffle. Could they be posted and pinned to this page?
