Who wants my igloo?
It really isn't "mine" since I just stumbled across it on a multi-day cross-country journey and chose to make it my home base. Once I'm gone, it's gone unless a previous visitor set a home there.
Will anything of EVOMC2018 carry over into EVOMC2019? Will the polar bears ever see another visitor? Will anyone ever visit the ocean monuments I found? Will anyone ever pass this way again? It seems such a shame for all the wonderful places found this year to just disappear.

ReplyDeleteIt's yours. Do you already know how to get there? PS. Where did you learn to use PS? : )
ReplyDeleteI learned it in Diary of a wimpy kid
ReplyDeletebut I don't know de wae(the way)lol
ReplyDeleteMattie Tsai I have a home set to the igloo. I'll pass the coordinates on to Mattie, or tp him there.
ReplyDeleteTo answer Don Carroll's question, our entire 4 years as EVO Minecraft MOOC resides on our current server map. We found polar bears last year in the tiaga not far from our /warp longhouse 2017 spawn point (near where Mattie left dogs in my ferry landing hut which are most likely still there). The 2015 and 2016 villages are still there, and some of our explorations passed near them this year. It's an extensive project which you contributed to extensively this year, and insha'allah it will be there next year when we resume #evomc19.
Insha'allah in Arabic means God willing, and of course this depends largely on the human factors involved as well.
Mattie Tsai You can have the igloo and everything that is in the basement.
ReplyDeleteThis temple is also in the same biome as your new "sandstone house." I didn't set a home at the temple so you'll have to run around to find it. Maybe there are also some fossils at this temple.
The mindshaft under the new fossil I found yesterday is also in this the biome. Vance knows where it is.

Yes, I set a home point there last night as well. I was going to use it to extract myself from the mine once we'd got hopelessly lost in it but in the end some creature got the best of me and sent me back to my bed spawn. But I can find the fossil and the mine beneath and pass that info on to Mattie Tsai as well.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it would be interesting to excavate that temple. Good zen inducing work, I have found that a spider eye makes a great shovel. Set up a battery of furnaces and churn out glass while excavating. Very relaxing while sipping adult beverages.
Wanna get rid of 64 (x 100) blocks of sand? Simple. Turn it into 64 (x 100) blocks of glass. And then what? : )
ReplyDeleteCan you continue to play WHILE you're baking stuff in the furnace? Seems to me you can't. You just have to wait.
I thought things baked until the coal runs out or the material does. Not sure but I've gone off and left things cooking and come back and collected iron ingots, whatever. Should test it.
ReplyDeleteYou can build with glass, and create shelters you can see out of, quite convenient.
I just checked and you're absolutely right. What a lot of time I've wasted watching the water boil. (Usually, I just switch off fullscreen and go do something outside of the game.)
ReplyDeleteDon Carroll Thank you so much! Vance emailed me the coordinates already and I'll pass this information to Mattie. He will have time to look for the igloo this afternoon. He's been talking about it for a while and he's excited that he gets to stay in one. Don, you will definitely be missed. Mattie loves to say Abu is online, Mom! Mom, I'm playing with Abu.
