If anyone is interested in trying an Italian Minecraft server Tantrum has been really nice so far mc.tantrum.org:23456 . It's a 1.13 server and they are testing 1.14 as well but I haven't tried it there. They also have a Discord server.

Yaaay :) Clickable Signs.

Yaaay :) Clickable Signs.

What Clickable Signs are: They are signs that look like the normal signs in Minecraft but they are generated by a command. They can be created to run different commands when they are right clicked such as say something, give something, kill something, join or leave a team and many more.

So now we know how to create clickable sings. I found this site http://minecraft.tools/en/sign.php?sign=click%20me&command=%2Fsay%20My%20name%20is&signname=name which is basically a tool that helps generate the commands for different things. I tried the commands on 1.13 and on 1.12 and both worked.

One of the ways we can use use Clickable signs is making a breadcrumb trail as part of a
- Story
- word puzzle
- Treasure or a scavenger hunt

Or of course an activity that has all of the above.

If anyone has an idea that they want to try using signs, please feel free to let everyone know here or start some thoughts in a google doc and then we can help set it up and invite everyone to test it.

I'm trying to create a word puzzle and/or scavenger hunt using clickable signs but the command is not working.

I found out that there is a clickable sings functionality in the Essentials mod so I'm thinking that this may be the reason the commands are not working. Another thing is that under Essentials they have to be enabled in the files.

Aaron Schwartz could you enable it for me please?

This evening mirella maddalena Carol Rainbow Heike Philp Dakotah Redstone and I worked on our EVOmc2019 town hall. We needed a whole lot of wood. Mirella gave us a good jump start as she'd planted some trees especially for the project but we still needed a lot more. Very quickly we ran out of bones to make bonemeal that we used to speed up the growth of the trees , so Dak set up a skeleton spawner and we spent some time killing skeletons and collecting their bones.

We made some good progress but we still have a lot of work to complete the build and decorate it, not to mention work on the surrounding area. Most probably it will remain a work in progress for as long as we all want to experiment with different ideas, the type of wood to use or the color of glass to put on the windows and different ideas of keeping baby zombies out of the place :)

We are planning to continue tomorrow evening UTC but everybody is welcome to work on it whenever they are interested and able to log in.

Hi Mircea Patrascu

Hi Mircea Patrascu . I've been thinking about the discussions of this year's sessions and G+ shutting down. Are the discussions being pulled automatically into blogger or will you have to do that manually again?

Hi everyone.

Hi everyone. We finally have a design for our EVO Minecraft 2019 Town Hall. It's a design that looks nice, goes with our area but more importantly one that everyone can easily help building. So, please drop in and join us or help by contributing to the building in any way you like,by building, collecting or crafting building and decoration resources etc.

Here is a video showing how the original creator of the design built it and a picture of the space we cleared for it with a sample build.

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!

We all have different levels of knowledge and skills when it comes to playing Minecraft and using it with students. Also, the reason each of us decided to learn and experiment with it may also vary, and I am very curious :)

Could I ask everybody to share

1- how or why they decided to learn Minecraft and use it with students
2- those who have been using it with students, what was the first time you used it with your students like, what did your students think?

Please make sure to join Discord as it makes it easier to communicate with each other in general and also while we play. It also makes it easier to get help while on the Minecraft server.

Please feel free to ask questions or ask for help on Google+ or Discord and feel free to help others if you have the answer. :)

Happy learning

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone! My real name is Maha Abdelmoneim and I'm from Cairo ,Egypt, but me, Olivetree, is who you'll be meeting on Discord and in Minecraft (I handle everything to do with Minecraft not Maha ;) .

Originally I'm a Corporate Learning and Development Consultant (Trainer/Instruction Designer/Life and Executive Coach). I deeply care about everything to do with learning and education which is the reason I've been learning and collaborating with educators on and offline since around 2004. I love learning and teaching languages and have been teaching English as a volunteer since early 2000s. I 've also been experimenting and helping English language learner in Virtual Worlds, specifically Secondlife since 2010.

I've been participating in EVOmc since 2016 and this year I'm honored and excited to be one of the co-moderators.

I look forward to meeting you all here, on Discord and in Minecraft soon.

This is about the best I've been able to do so far.
