I'm revisiting a book I have read for my MSc from Debra Levin Gelman, who is mentioned in the article below. Apart from cognitive aspects, there is also the natural social and emotional stages kids go through. The article mentions Minecraft and how it can be empowering for Tweens (from 9-11). It's a good read to help us understand our learners. https://fundayfactory.com/blog/2016-age-appropriate-design-tweens/
