Hi all, I'm on my way to Chile to give a talk at WorldCALL 2018 in Concepcion and meanwhile I was asked to give a 5-6 minute "Lightning Talk" which I recorded and which was presumably played at the Educause conference on Nov 1 in Denver. It's a quick overview of EVO Minecraft MOOC and serves as a trailer of my presentation at WorldCALL (we have to give the organizers a thumb drive with the slides or pdf to be uploaded for us on the conference computers, no personal devices allowed).

Finally migrated our server files to a different host last night...it's currently back up at mc.evomc.net (you still need to run Minecraft 1.12.x) -- the survival map is up so you can visit the #evo2016 #evo2017 and #evo2018 villages.

Dynamap is also working at http://mc.evomc.net:8123/#

FYI, the world/map together take up 10gigs (mostly map tiles).

This paper provides a general-purpose categorization scheme for assessing the utility of new and emerging three-dimensional immersive digital environments (3D-IDEs), along with specific pedagogic approaches that are known to work.
