I learned how to take a screenshot (Fn + F2) but don't know where this was saved to.

I learned how to take a screenshot (Fn + F2) but don't know where this was saved to. Can I change the default so that the screenshots are saved to a folder on my desktop?

PS. The Spotlight function on my newly upgraded OSX 10.13 sucks.
